Favors For The Men

Men are SO difficult to please!

Haha!  Actually I just couldn't figure out how to incorporate the sports or the tools into the shower.  It was just a difficult aspect for me, so I went the safe route.  Plants.

The theme of the shower was an organic nature/bird theme, so plants seemed to go nicely.  I would have loved to plant some in an egg shell, but I ran short on time.  SO this is what I ended up with. 

I love that these were simple and yet, who doesn't love flowers!  I plan on transplanting mine to the yard, but they are pretty in the vase as well.

I left the vases as is, but I thought about rub-ons, stencils, textured paint, stamps!  You name it, the ideas are countless. 

I added some ribbon and a thank you tag, and easy peasy a fun favor!

Another thing I love about plants is that you can use them as part of your decor for nearly any occasion!

I can't wait to show the cute Bitty Boxes I made!

We {Heart} Daddies!

Okay, so I have found couple's showers to be either super casual or dad really feels out of place.  I was looking for a good balance here and I think we achieved that.

I hate that dads don't get the honor they deserve as parents.  Men really do like to be celebrated!  So...

I did my best to incorporate daddy with these little I {heart} Daddies! picks. 

To make these I used several new products and my handy My Digital Studio.  I love how easy it is to create with!  So I printed the tags to fit in the flower centers and then sponged them a bit.  Have I mentioned how much I LOVE the new Blossom Punch?!  It's my favorite!

A bit of glitter and a jewel center on the back finished it off nicely.

These were so quick and really added a nice "daddy" touch to the shower.

Chic Bird Invite

My day blew by me without any blogging!!!

I am trying to get back in the swing of things, so bare with me.    :)

Every baby shower needs an invitation.

I just realized one of my angles didn't save.  (I feel like I'm brand new at this again.)  I'll have to update it later. 

Anyway, this is the front.  I wanted soft colors, and without knowing the sex of the baby, it made it a little tricky, but in a way a reveal party was nice BECAUSE I was able to focus more on momma than baby. 

The inside is simple, but the little bird nest adds a touch of character.

(Sorry the color is drained from this, although it is muted to begin with.  I need to get my lightbox back out.)

So I have some work to do and I will update this post...

Happy Birdie Little One!

Yeah!  I'm really here!  I have a few pictures from the shower, and several I forgot to get, but I thought it would be a fun way to begin again. 

It was a shabby chic bird theme, and oh so cute for spring!

I cannot take credit for this adorable pinata, but it is amazing Tarra! 

It was a couple shower since the daddy was from out of town. They decided to make it a reveal party, so they filled the pinata with pink candy!

IT'S A GIRL!

OH!  One more thing I forgot to snap beforehand.  If you look closely, we made them a matching tie and corsage.  It turned out way cute.  I'll try to find a better picture.

Baby Shower Favors

Good Evening!  I'm still trying to gather all the shower stuff together while I juggle Christmas and birthdays.  We celebrate two more tomorrow, and then have dinner plans!  Haha!  And I signed up to help with breakfast at church Sunday.  I hope I make it through tomorrow! 

Anyway, I saw this darling idea somewhere and decided to try it.  It's a prayer bracelet.  I think the poem explains it sufficiently.  Somehow with the help of my MIL we got these done pretty quickly.  I made 30 and have a few left over.  The bracelets costs around fifty cents each.  Not too bad! 

I will find my PDF for the prayer as well at some point.  But this is what it says:

'Little Blessing' Prayer Bracelet

A little trinket for you to wear, as a reminder for your prayer.

God's little blessing is on the way, now we just ask that you pray

for a healthy, sweet baby girl that is about to come into our world.

A little cheesy, but I needed something that was short and to the point so it would fit inside the tag.

Oh Baby - Part 1

I wanted to post more today but I was on a roll cleaning out my stamp room.  I wanted to gather all my little projects up for you, but this eye candy will have to do for today.

I saw this idea a long time ago and I finally got arount to making it.  The only thing I would change is to add a 'Baby Sleeping' at the bottom. 

This idea is so adorable I will be offering kits soon.  (It's on the list!)

Bouncy Baby Boy

Good Morning! 

I have a lot on my plate this morning. (No pun intended) I am getting ready to host my Asian Potluck.  So I tought a quick baby card would do.  I know it's retired, but it's new to me.  I fell in love with this Toy Box set after having 2 baby boys.  I made this card for my cousin who just had her first.

I tried to keep it simple and cute.  The DSP is also retired.  I'm just trying not to hoard ;)

The inside had a little pouch that I slid my handwritten greeting behind.  The front verse is actually tacked down to create a fun pocket.

Hot/Cold Pack Name Game

SEW! How's it going today?

My son is feeling better, and I was able to get my sewing machine out.  I haven't sewed much since having children.  Back when I used to sew, these heating pads were a staple gift at Christmas time. 

It was one of the first projects I thought about when I saw the Scallop Square Big Shot die.  I love that it is a clear die so I can line the pattern up perfectly before cutting.  They turned out just as I had anticipated, and very easy to make! 

I'm thinking these baby pads are perfect for babies!  I am going to be bundling them in sets of 2.  One for cold and for hot.  You could use one for both, but it just makes sense to keep one in the freezer.  One thing that got me thinking of this was that most kid's ice packs are filled with that gel and my boys won't keep them out of their mouth.  At least these are safe!

Onto the game part!

I usually come up with cute names for everything, but I can't seem to think of anything for these.  I was thinking baby something, but I don't know.

Sweet Baby Onesies

Good morning,

It's been a while since I've posted.  I've been busy stamping none the less.  I thought I'd share a couple baby onesies I made this week.  I know a lot of ladies having babies right now, so you'll probably see quite a few baby projects. 

These cards really aren't too difficult.  I punched the collar and legs with a 1 3/8" circle punch, and then added the scallop.  Once you punch the circles out, make snips for the arms about 1 1/2" down and cut 3/4" in.  Then cut from the inside slit to the circle punch edge.  After the first one, you'll have it down.  (You will need to 1 1/2 scallops per card.)  

The stamp is retired, from Lovely Labels. I kept the color scheme basic, it is simply Pink Pirouette and Whisper White.  I used White Taffeta Ribbon and pearls from the Pretties Kit to finish it off.   I was able to cut about 50 in 2 hours.  Now I have enough supply for those babies!

Onesie Card & Update

Hi ladies!

I wanted to let you know I haven't forgotten about the tutorial.  I am anxious to get to it.  I have been baking this morning, and will be away the rest of the day.  Tomorrow I am painting my basement, in order to prep a garage sale next week.  I am going to try to find the energy to keep stamping through all of this, but since my computer crashed posting has not been as accessible.  I am hoping once my house is back in order it will get better.  Thanks for your patience.  Have a great weekend!

 

I made this cute card for a friend who had a baseball theme shower.  The colors are Whisper White, Night of Navy and Real Red.  The stamp inside is the retired, Bundled in Love.  I thought it turned out pretty cute.  Not bad for my first onesie.  I can't wait to make more!

Stamp Crazy Fun!

Stamp Crazy Girls is my upline's group name (BTW).  And these were the adorable projects we made last month.  I was excited to go again today!  Local ladies, if you'd like to join me to check it out let me know!!  I'm always looking for new team members to mentor! These projects feature new products from the Occasions Mini Catalog which ends April 30th.  I simply can't pick a favorite!  This is just a darling group of cards.

These first three feature Sweet Pea Stitched Felt, which is much cuter in person.  The sentiments from Well Scripted and Little angel are also too cute.  All the projects use Sweet Pea DSP as well.

The technique used on this card is faux suede.  This technique adds a soft, subtle dimension to your projects.  The large flowers are the Extra Large Fancy Flower Punch.

I simply love the bird clip!  It's the Extra Large Two Step Bird Punch. (An SU exclusive!)  That darling envelope is a Small Square Glassine Envelope on page 19.  It holds a Sending Love Notes "Kisses" inside.
