We {Heart} Daddies!

Okay, so I have found couple's showers to be either super casual or dad really feels out of place.  I was looking for a good balance here and I think we achieved that.

I hate that dads don't get the honor they deserve as parents.  Men really do like to be celebrated!  So...

I did my best to incorporate daddy with these little I {heart} Daddies! picks. 

To make these I used several new products and my handy My Digital Studio.  I love how easy it is to create with!  So I printed the tags to fit in the flower centers and then sponged them a bit.  Have I mentioned how much I LOVE the new Blossom Punch?!  It's my favorite!

A bit of glitter and a jewel center on the back finished it off nicely.

These were so quick and really added a nice "daddy" touch to the shower.

Chic Bird Invite

My day blew by me without any blogging!!!

I am trying to get back in the swing of things, so bare with me.    :)

Every baby shower needs an invitation.

I just realized one of my angles didn't save.  (I feel like I'm brand new at this again.)  I'll have to update it later. 

Anyway, this is the front.  I wanted soft colors, and without knowing the sex of the baby, it made it a little tricky, but in a way a reveal party was nice BECAUSE I was able to focus more on momma than baby. 

The inside is simple, but the little bird nest adds a touch of character.

(Sorry the color is drained from this, although it is muted to begin with.  I need to get my lightbox back out.)

So I have some work to do and I will update this post...

Happy Birthday To Me!

I was so happy to find a card from Stampin' Up in the mail today.  Ironically today is my husband's birthday, mine's not for a few days.  This was a very nice surprise. 

This card was created using My Digital Studio software.  I love updated downloads available and can't wait to get more.  The Rhinestone on the I just adds the right amount of bling. 

One more reason I love being a Stampin' Up Demonstrator!

Fall Favors

Good Morning!

I just realized I've posted a few coordinating projects in a row.  I guess it's the weather here.  It's just now starting to cool off, which has been a beautiful season! 

This box is made from the fortune teller template (below).  I'm not sure where I first saw it a long time ago, but I finally got around to making them.  These are super easy to put together and make darling favors and treat baskets. 

I made this for a swap and put a few hershey's kisses inside.  What I like most about this project is that you can adjust the size to fit your purpose. 

I used the Scallop Square Clearz Die to cut this out, but you could use any size square really.  Then I scored it into thirds going in each direction as well as from corner to corner.  I punched holes in each corner for the ribbon.  Then I creased the folds and drew the corners to the center, ran ribbon through the holes and tied a bow.  This is so once you try it!

Time to Fall Back!

Don't forget to set your clocks back!  We gain an hour today... mine usually ends up sleep.  But what mother doesn't appreciate that!

Time is flyin' by this year!  I can't believe my youngest is almost 3 now! 

I've been working on invitations this weekend and thought I'd share them today.

We are having 2 parties for him this year.  The first one I decided to have in the morning because young kids are happier in the morning.  So we will have donuts and brunch items.
 


  I didn't use any SU supplies here, so let me know if you have any questions.   One thing I did one the first invitation was use little car webdings in place of spaces, which I thought looks cute.

For All You Do

Yet another set I love!  For All You Do is a fun, versatile set.  I am sad to see the Cottage Wall DSP retire.  There's only 2 days left!!

I used My Digital Studio to create a quick thank you card for a neighbor.  That is just one more reason to have MDS.  You can create on the spot projects in virtually no time at all, without having to reach for supplies.

I'm working on finishing up the Rubik's Cubes to share.  I had no idea how long cutting up tiny squares would take me! LOL!

MDS Practical Application

Good evening! 

I was out most of the day, so I thought I'd share a quick project.  My kids convinced me to spend the day at grandma's.  Well, they needed naps this afternoon when we got back.  I could not believe when someone selling books knocked on my door 3 times!  Talk about bad mojo!  Anyway, that is what prompted today's project. 

(Now I just need to figure out where to put it, outside or my door?  Any suggestions???)

Just playing around!
