Hey Y'all!
I am SO ready for summer! How about you? Spring is my favorite season. I love watching everything come to life. However, this spring has been so rainy, my kids need to get outside! The past couple
days have been awesome weather. Thursday we had an amazing day at the zoo- the animals were very active and the weather was a perfect overcast 75 degree day. Then last night we made it out to a T-Bones Baseball game. Not only was it
free perk from our cable company, the weather was again- PERFECT! So, I am not getting much done, but am loving our family time!
So, I am a bit behind AGAIN! These are
simple 3x3 cards with a summer theme. It is a simple mix and match set. I love the how fun and easy these were to put together. The box is a little larger than I usually make them. The finished dimensions are 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" x 1 1/2". I fit
8 cards with envelopes inside easily.
To make this box you will need and 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" sheet of cardstock. Score the long side at 1" and 4 1/2" so you have a mid-section of 3 1/2". Rotate and score at
3 1/2" and 5". Next you will want to create tabs by snipping the 4 cross marks. For the lid I began with a 4 1/2" x 2 1/2" piece and scored 1/2" all around, snipped corner tabs and folded them down to glue.
I am going to make another set, and I'll take a photo of the kit for you. I think I'm going to throw together a mini class with this idea for the new catalog release. Don't forget, if you'd like to view the card full size, just

Well, I actually had this post ready last night and never hit 'post' I guess. So I am posting a couple times today. I can't believe how late it is already.
On a personal note: SO MY KIDS ARE SICK AGAIN! Ugh! I'm so sad that they keep catching everything. My oldest went the past 2 years with nothing more than a little cold, and now the poor thing has the flu. He woke up this morning and told my husband, "I have a beaver like baabaa." Which translates to, "I have a fever like my brother." Yep. The other one too! Although he came down with a fever Thursday and seems to be great now, so I am hoping this flu will pass quickly. If I get behind again, it's because I've spent my time cleaning sheets, couch cushions, spots on the carpet, washing extra laundry and massive cuddling.
So, if all goes well I will get another project up today.
Thanks for dropping by!
