I have been consumed with home school planning this week. I went shopping today with much success found some much needed items for our classroom. I have no idea what I'm doing, but neither does my 5 year old, which is calming. ;)
I have been learning about how to teach. Sight words have consumed me this week.

My swap is a little box pouch thing. I couldn't quite decide what to call it today. It is pretty easy to make, and great for sweet treat, bath salts, tea bags, etc. I love this size pouch. It fits the small cello bags (pg 170).

This has to be one of my favorite projects so far this season. This is a darling little box made from our Scallop Envelope Die. It is perfect for little Ghirardelli chocolates. I used Bells & Boughs and Deck The Halls DSP. This is definitely my style!
I tried to get some different angles for you to just see how darling it is! Don't even get me started about those pearls! I LOVE the new pearls and use them whenever I can. I tinted these slightly with cherry ink to look more like berries.
These boxes are SO easy to make from this die. All I had to do to alter it was trim about 1/2" off the bottom. Then you simply glue the sides and bottom together from 2 cut outs.
TIP: To punch the holes, I actually punch one and then use it as a guide from the other one BEFORE I assemble the box. But, you could eyeball it too.

I just realized I've posted a few coordinating projects in a row. I guess it's the weather here. It's just now starting to cool off, which has been a beautiful season!
This box is made from the fortune teller template (below). I'm not sure where I first saw it a long time ago, but I finally got around to making them. These are super easy to put together and make darling favors and treat baskets.
I made this for a swap and put a few hershey's kisses inside. What I like most about this project is that you can adjust the size to fit your purpose.
I used the Scallop Square Clearz Die to cut this out, but you could use any size square really. Then I scored it into thirds going in each direction as well as from corner to corner. I punched holes in each corner for the ribbon. Then I creased the folds and drew the corners to the center, ran ribbon through the holes and tied a bow. This is so once you try it!

Actually it was Oregon!
I just had the most wonderful time at my brother's wedding! I have only been to the ocean once, and it was the east coast. This trip was AMAZING! I loved all the lush gardens and NO BUGS!!! The down side is that they have more rain than sunshine, but the weather was perfect for their vows on the beach.

I apologize for being away for so long. I may be a bit slow catching up this week, but I hope to begin posting daily again. I also am working behind the scenes on my technical stuff. So here is today's post:Coaster Post-It Holder
I used our returning colors Wild Wasabi and Baja Breeze paired with Whisper White and Chocolate Chip. I love this Watercolor Trio set in the Summer Mini Catalog. I mounted my CS to coasters and used my Bind-It-All to make a cute little Post-It Holder. I used the Large Oval Punch and the Scallop Oval Punch with Dimensionals for the greeting. I finished it off with a piece of White Taffeta Ribbon. (We have a lot of retiring ribbon this catalog. I can't wait to see what's new! I just love ribbon.)
I used the baby wipe stamp pad technique on this card. I love how quick and efficient it is! Here's how to do it:
I love the watercolor look you get with this technique.
I stamped over 30 images, and could have
kept going.
BTW- Your stamp will get messy. I just used the end of the baby wipe when I was finished to wipe it down, and it was good as new!
It's that easy! I am excited to used this technique on Christmas cards!

Good morning Ladies! I'm busy getting ready for my open house and then I promise to upload a bunch of pictures. I wanted to share my swap with you today. I used the new Love Bandit set. Our new clear blocks are awesome! They are the best blocks I have ever used.
(I shot these a little darker than usual to show off the embossing.) I used a marker for the image, to eliminate the greeting, and used a marker to color in the heart. The poppin' color scheme here is Melon Mambo, Basic Black, and Whisper White. The box is my version of the paper crafts tote. (I'll add dimensions below) I used the scallop circle punch, and the new SU Perfect Polka Dots Impression Folder for the dots. The ribbon is the in-color Melon Mambo and Whisper White Taffeta. I used Pewter Jumbo Eyelets, and the Scallop border punch for finishing touches.
To make the box, I cut the CS to 8" x 5 1/2". Score along the short side 1" from each side. (1 & 4 1/2.) Pivot box and score at 3 1/2" and 4 1/2". Next snip the four short score marks to form tabs. Glue box together. (Your final box will be 3 1/2"x 3 1/2" x 1"deep.)

I just got back from road trip! I'll get photos uploaded and share with you next week. It is always refreshing to see the demonstrations and meet with the friendliest people on earth!
I had some time to think about some things on my way back. I absolutely LOVE my job! I love that 90% of my job is fun. I rarely have to deal with stressful situations, and I work at my own pace (for the most part). I think my favorite part is being able to share projects with you.
I have decided to start carving out more time in my day to maintain my site. I love blogging and the inspiration I find on blogs. I love this world as much as teaching and sharing. I really need more balance though, so I'm going to make an outline tonight for the changes to make.
I had to share this adorable box from my upline, Shelly. (Thanks Shelly- it's gorgeous!) The ribbon is Whisper White Satin, which is tied up with the Pretties Kit. Isn't it SO ADORABLE!

These projects are from a Demo shoebox swap I attended this weekend. I love this waffle looking technique. (I ran cardstock both ways through my crimper with even pressure, and then used a sponge to lightly ink the embossed part only. It almost looks like designer paper.) Oh, the balloon fits perfectly in the 3/4" circle punch as well. I love that! (The colors here are Soft Suede, Ballet Blue , and Certainly Celery.)
This next card is also too cute! The DSP is from the new Build-A-Bear line. I just used markers and a blender pen to color everything. Using the Stamp-A-Ma-Jig makes lining up stamps a breeze! A touch of Real Red really pops on the blue.

This gift was from Shadai, in my downline, at our party last weekend. I have yet to get around to making one of these adorable DVD tins. My idea was to make one to share with you the measurements. I have it one my table, and I plan to get it made right after the snowman soup! So you should be hearing more tomorrow... For now, just think of the possibilities! Also, look at that fantastic card! Isn't it cute!

Happy holidays! I hope to cram a few good projects in over the next couple weeks. I still have a couple touch-ups on the house, but we're getting there. I can't believe how quickly time flies! I haven't blogged in days! So I hope everyone's holiday is stress-free and joyous.
I have a few things lined up for this week, but tonight I thought I'd just show what I did today! I attended an event held by my upline, Shelly. We had a wonderful gift exchange and I ended up receiving an awesome gift pack! It includes a dry-erase tile and star dish with rub-ons, and a cute pack of cards and envies. All the projects were so adorable! I'll show you more tomorrow!

For these sweet little post-it note key chains, I used the new Rainbow Sherbet DSP with the new In Color ribbon, and stamped it with It's All Good.
This DARLING Bag in a Box (or is it Box in a bag?) is only a couple inches tall. I just love these, I have made them in several sizes. I like this size for Christmas. Maybe it would look good on a tree, what do you think? I will post measurements soon! I used the new Kiwi/Vanilla ribbon (this ribbon is gorgeous!) and Holiday Treasures DSP.
These water bottle toppers are so fun for any occasion! I used one of my favs this year, Tart and Tangy! I originally created these for my open house, but had several left over to share! I think it's Beate's pattern... Thanks!
Last, but not least, a darling little nugget purse. I used Maine Blueberry on one and Bella Rose DSP on the other. I just love making these!
