Lovely Bells

Quick post this morning.  I am having a wonderful morning.  I'm feeling good and want to clean my house.  Maybe it's knowing snow is on the way.  Or that my children are not fighting.  Anyway, I'm excited for a productive day.

This card was one I played with for a while.  It's pretty simple, but I had trouble with the folded flap.  First I put ribbon on it, then I decided I like the DSP look better.  Now I don't know.  LOL  It's just a card.

I embossed the bells and cut them out.  This image really isn't difficult to cut.  I used the Pinking Hearts Border punch and a few pearls for a finishing touch. 

I like to dress up the inside of my cards.  This one was easy to do with a bit more DSP (which shows on the outside too!)  I stamped a couple hollies in Always Artichoke, but I stamped off first. (Stamping off simply means I stamp on scratch paper first to lighten the image.)

Asian CASE

Today I am working on my class projects for next week.  This sample is a catalog CASE.  For this sample I changed the background, because I am awaiting my Sanded stamp.  I added a Rhinestone Brad to the front, and also embellished inside.  

Asian Artistry is a level 2 Hostess set (pg 15).  I love this set.  It is very serene.  The card is Very Vanilla, Dusty Durango, Certainly Celery and Soft Suede.  I will replace the Very Vanilla with Watercolor paper for the class.  I used the aqua painter, and it will work better with watercolor paper.  For this I also stamped using Staz On.  I crumpled the Celery and peeled it apart for a faux suede technique.  

I used Sincere Salutations inside (p 143) inside, and mimicked the front techniques.

Quick Halloween Treat

Good morning!  Today I wanted to show you the adorable new Sweet Centers set.  I used it without the cup, and put my treat inside.  I love the flexibility of this set!  I'll be sure to play around with it more.  It can be used for Halloween, Love, Christmas Ornaments, Flowers, Hot Air Balloons and so much more!

I used the Rock and Roll technique, inking the edges in Old Olive after stamping the image in Dusty Durango.  I then wiped clean the center with a tissue and inked it with markers.  Pretty quick and easy.  I did about a dozen in 15 minutes. 

Then I punched the center image with the 1 3/8" punch and layered a 1 3/4" Black circle underneath.  I completed the candy holder matchbook style!

Doodle This Reflections

Good Morning!
I decided to take the day to hang with my kids.  It's my birthday and I am feeling it!  :)  LOL
I did get some stamping in last night though.  My birthday wish is to take some time to go through some photos and SCRAPBOOK! 

I've had this idea for a while.  I do like Doodle This, but I haven't used it for a while.  I tried it in blue... I guess it's a happy birthday to me!  (It reminds me of my logo.)  Anyway, I used the Reflection technique to create a butterfly.  I stamped it on Glossy White with white embossing powder.  I sponged the background with Soft Sky and Pacific Point.  I added some glitter to finish it off (didn't show up well).  The butterfly body is a piece of Hemp Twine covered in glitter.

I think this butterfly is so beautiful I may make one to frame.  The card is a bit larger than 5 1/2", so it will fit in a 6" envie or frame.

Baby Wipe Flowers

I finally cut up all those baby wipe images I showed you the other day.  I played around with some supplies I've neglected as well.  What do you think?  I'm on the fence with this one.  It's not really my style, but I think it's good for Spring.

I thought glitter was in order!  It's been a while since I've used glitter like this.  I used a brayer and covered the punched piece of cardstock with VersaMark.  I used Heat & Stick Powder to adhere the glitter.  This is such a fun technique.  I'll be sure to use this Autumn!

P.S.  I feel like a broken record about the tutorial.  I have it 80% complete.  I still need to edit photos, and I'll have it uploaded.  I plan to finish it before bed.  My children are SO unpredictable right now.  The little one is teething and want mommy nonstop and the 3 year old is making it a habit this week of waking up at 5:30am!  So they are def. keeping me busy.

Baby Wipe Technique- Part 1

How are you all doing tonight?  I thought this technique was perfect for Easter eggs.  It is my first time trying it, and I think it turned out pretty good.  The outline stamps are harder to see and the pink got washed out on most of the images, but overall it was fun.

Baby Wipe Technique

Super easy!  Put a few droppers of reinkers on a baby wipe to use as an ink pad.  Quick tip- use Stampin' Mist if it dries up and use it again!  Oh, just think of the possibilities with this one!  I just want to do it in so many combinations.  I will definitely have to come up with a class for this one. 

I have a bit of trimming to do to mount these images.  I'll start with the bunnies for this week's blog candy basket.  The egg and bunny stamp are from a Hobby Lobby set and the others are Stampin' Up.  I thought I'd make the blog candy baskets 3x3 so I could add a bit more to the prize. 

Thank you for all the great comments!  I'm just now getting to my tutorial.  I don't mean to drag it out, but I had a very unexpected bout of dizziness today which kept me off my feet.  I've never experienced anything like this and I'm not sure what's causing it.  I'll check with my doctor on Thursday and hopefully it'll be nothing.

Etched Snowflake!

It's time for Try-It Tuesday!

 I've been wanting to try glass etching for some time now.  Using Decor Elements raw vinyl and my Big Shot snowflake made it a cinch!  I used Armour Glass Etching Cream found at any hobby store, and a clear glass plate.  I applied the vinyl to the bottom of the plate.  Now I will fill it with cookies and give it to a friend for the holidays!

I also made a quick coordinating card.  I cut the snowflake with my Big Shot and added some clear Chunky Sprinkles, a Felt Flurries snowflake with a white brad in the center.  The snowflake actually pivots on the brad.  I used some Ski Slope DSP and Riding Hood Red card stock on a Kraft card base.  The sentiment is from Snow Swirled.  I feel like this one is a bit out my element color-wise, and I wish the sentiment stood out more, but I love the snowflake!
