Lovey Dovey

A nice way to come back.  This card I made for my bro-sis for their anniversary.  I love this paper from the Occasions Mini.  I'll be sad to see it go next week.  The stamp is retired (Many Happy Returns) but it was too fitting.  The pearls are a nice way to polish it off.  

The Goods:  Stamps-Many Happy Returns; Paper-Springtime Vintage DSP, Marina Mist, Very Vanilla, Old Olive, Pink Pirouette; Ink-Marina Mist; Misc-Basic Pearls, Two-Step Bird Punch, Modern Label Punch, Word Window Punch.  (I free-handed the heart.)

Coming Up Roses!

What a day!!!

What can I say, you never know what you're going to get with little ones, do you?  I had a very unproductive day, BUT I did get to stamp.   :)

I wanted to share more calendar pics with you, but then I had an idea, and one thing led to another and I changed it up a bit.  I have some finishing touches and then I'll show you more tomorrow.

Today I thought I'd make a few needed cards.  Quick and simple!  I haven't used this embossing folder much, and I just love it! It is a Stampin' Up Exclusive called Manhattan Flower.   

I made my Mother's Day cards and an anniversary card. 

I used a couple of my favorite In Colors being reintroduced, Riding Hood Red and Baja Breeze.  The cards are Sahara Sand, and the butterflies are Soft Suede.  I used the (retired) coordinating ribbons and the adorable Butterflies Sizzlit, with a pearl from the Pretties Kit as a finishing touch!

I wanted a classic 'Love' look on this card, so I stuck with Real Red, Basic Black and white accessories.  The Organza ribbon has a very classy look to it.  I embossed the card in White EP to balance it out. 

Oh, I almost forgot!  The stamps are from Well Scripted and Messages For Mom in the Spring Mini (retired).

Love is in the air!

Wow!  January flew by!  I amaze myself at how thin I continually spread myself.  I am SO excited about what's coming up this spring.  I was sad to see January fill up with so many things besides stamping.  I did fit a few projects in.  Here is a little sneak peek for the week.

Much of these were requested orders I filled last week.  I hope to have my Shoppe projects listed soon as well. 

Today I thought I'd share that sock monkey that is front and center.  It was a request for Valentines.  I made a similar box last year, but I added a heart behind the banana this time.  It is Real Red, Barely Banana, and Very Vanilla CS.  I stamped in So Saffron and Close To Cocoa.  I colored the monkey using the aqua painter, added a couple Jumbo Eyelets and Very Vanilla ribbon for the handle.

Make & Takes

I thought I'd share my make & takes with you today.  I came up with 3 choices.  I love the pouch because it's quick and easy.  The card offers stamping with markers, and the box is a bit more difficult.  I think it's a good variety.

IN THE MAIL!

I am so excited about my open house this weekend!  I am ready to kick off classes this year.  I will get them posted starting next week.  I have a packed weekend.  I am pretty excited to get away with my DH for the 1st time since we've had children!  It's only one night, but well deserved. 

This darling project is not my own idea.  I just had to try it out.  I'm not sure who to give credit to.  (Please let me know if it's you!)  This project gave me a great idea.  I CASE projects about as much as I design them.  I would love to begin giving awards if I feature your project.  I'll think about what it should be.  Do you have any ideas?  

I made this mailbox to hold 2 nuggets.  Of course you could alter it to fit other candies.  I'm thinking Nerds, myself.  I am working on the tutorial for Monday.  I have to finish up a couple more gifts for my open house first.

Love Bandit Box

Good morning Ladies!  I'm busy getting ready for my open house and then I promise to upload a bunch of pictures.  I wanted to share my swap with you today.  I used the new Love Bandit set.  Our new clear blocks are awesome! They are the best blocks I have ever used.   

(I shot these a little darker than usual to show off the embossing.)  I used a marker for the image, to eliminate the greeting, and used a marker to color in the heart.  The poppin' color scheme here is Melon Mambo, Basic Black, and Whisper White.  The box is my version of the paper crafts tote.  (I'll add dimensions below)  I used the scallop circle punch, and the new SU Perfect Polka Dots Impression Folder for the dots.  The ribbon is the in-color Melon Mambo and Whisper White Taffeta.  I used Pewter Jumbo Eyelets, and the Scallop border punch for finishing touches. 

To make the box, I cut the CS to 8" x 5 1/2".  Score along the short side 1" from each side. (1 & 4 1/2.) Pivot box and score at 3 1/2" and 4 1/2".  Next snip the four short score marks to form tabs.  Glue box together.  (Your final box will be 3 1/2"x 3 1/2" x 1"deep.)

I made these darling 3x3 cards to go inside the box.  Although, you could fill it with candy or some other gift.  You could also vary the box size to accompany something larger.

Today I thought I'd share a quick pic of the cute birds from The More the Merrier.  All glittered up and sweet.  Have I mentioned how much I love Rich Razzleberry!  This really is an amazing set.

Valentine's Leftovers

Just a quick post tonight.  I hope you're having a HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!  I've have a great day, but didn't leave much time tonight so I'm showing you my final group of Valentine pencil holders.  I filled some of them with candy for the kiddies.  I used the little tag to write the kids' names on.

Chocolate is Good!

Hey there!  How are ya today?  Me, I am having a day off.  My boys just went down for a late nap and I am excited to actually be blogging!  I decided this morning just to sit around and ignore the world for once.  I did a little playing, and some reading.  It was nice.   I am really frustrated and I guess I should contact someone, but I've been trying to upload pics to Splitcoast for 3 days!  I'm trying to be patient, but I've never had it take this long.  I have been REALLY neglectful and trying to catch up.  I haven't done any updating since November when I got side tracked!  YIKES!

Anyway, I thought I share with you today those darling little Ghirardelli® Box Beate made.  

I love this cute thing.  Not only will it hold 4 Ghirardelli chocolates, but the Hershey's Minatures also fit!  I'm thinking about playing around with this template some more to see what other sizes would be good for.  They truly quick and easy!

I simply tucked the lid in behind the hearts/scallop to hold the box closed.

Good Evening! 
Thanks for dropping by today.  Just a quick post for ya.  My day began very rough today.  It started with a threatening phone call not even 5 minutes after I woke up.  After filing a police report, they found the man, out of state, who called me misinformed (I wasn't even who he was looking for.)  Anyway, it was a bit exhausting.  After spending a few hours dealing with that nonsense, I had to attend a legal meeting.  Needless to say, after 4 hours of legal talk, I found the 20 minute nap I snuck in before dinner VERY energizing.  We did decide to eat a wonderful meal from Hereford House to end the day in a good way.

So, with that being said, I decided just to share a quick card again tonight.  I have some other projects uploaded, but they still need edited. 

 

Love You Much!  AGAIN.  I'm almost done with this for a while, promise!  I thought about making this a window card, but I couldn't punch it in the center, so I made a FAUX WINDOW CARD.  I stamped the birds image directly on the card front, as well as roughly in the same position inside.   Oh yeah, I punched the circle from the top in the center on the pink layer first, lined it up and made a tiny pencil mark in the center of the circle so I knew where to stamp.  I colored in the birds.  Then I stamped the pink layer, assembled it, and attached it to the card front using Dimensionals.

Inside I added the sentiment on my computer.  The hearts are from the Heart to Heart Punch.

**Another Cheat:  If you are worried about stamping the background image in the correct place, simply stamp on a scrap piece of paper, the same color as the card and attach it to the front before attaching the front to the card base.

Love You Much!

Hey there! 

I can't seem to get enough of the darling Love You Much Bundle!  I have a feeling I'll be pulling this set out again next year!  Today I thought I'd show you a card.  I have several projects ready to show you... argh, I just wish one day would go as planned!  On a good day, my boys nap at the same time and I can get my post up.   Not today!  So I've been typing a line here and there when I can.  Hopefully, I will actually get it up before tomorrow!

I've done it again.  Another $1 frame.  I love these!  There are so many things you can do with them.  This one I thought turned out to be a cute frame.  Not too busy or glam, but allows you to focus more on the photo.  I began by priming it with acrylic paint.  (I used red for this one.)  I used a liquid glue to adhere the Candy Lane DSP.  I sponged the edges with close to cocoa for added dimension.  I also sponged over the paint to give it more of a worn feel.  The images are from Love You Much, and I punched the hearts with the new SU punch Heart to Heart.  I added a couple buttons and brads for dimension. 

I also made a couple little clips.  The one pictured uses the same paper, coordinating with Close to Cocoa and Pink Pirouette.  I added a bit of white Taffeta ribbon.  The scallop is actually attached to clip with Crystal Effects.  (I have more pictures in the Valentine's gallery.)

I am sorry my posting has been slow lately.  I am making a lot of transitions right now in life.  I am hoping to create less chaos and more balance for the whole family.  My boys keep me incredibly busy!  It seems they have had enough of winter and are itching to go, go, go!  Anyway, I will be back up and running soon!

In the Mail! Part 2

Good Afternoon!   I hope your day is going well.  Mine has been  productive.  Just a quick post today.  I have paid my bills and cleaned my house, and gotten the nitty gritty out of the way and I'm ready to get stampin!   I decided to start my day right and logged on this morning to show you some more cute cards and the server was down!  But here we are, just a few hours late.

I thought I'd go ahead and show you more cards from my mailbox.  I am having a blast making these 3x3 cards!  I'll also add some more pics to the album!

In the Mail! Part 1

Good morning!  I had another day slip by with no post.  Sorry about that.  I had such a long day yesterday.  I had all these projects sitting on the table in front of me all day and never got around to getting them on my computer.  I am so anxious to get more projects going!  I have a couple scrapbook pages I am hoping to finish up as well.  I feel so bogged down with our house right now.  My hubby has been very ill the past couple days, so I've been trying to pick up the slack.

Today I wanted to share my first mailbox!  I think these are SO DARLING!  I only grabbed a few from the Target Dollar Spot, but next time I am definitely picking up more for presents!  I couldn't believe how easy this was to wrap up.  I am also going to add a felt bottom, but I have mine packed up right now.  I used the LOVE YOU MUCH BUNDLE from SU, my scallop circle punch, and a couple ribbons.  It was that easy!

Sweet on You!

Sorry I never got to post these yesterday!  I had intended on it and the day flew by!  I guess Mondays are always a bit silly around here.  My son decided to join in the fun of creating valentine's for his grandmas.   I hope your day is going well.  I chose a couple candies to share today.  I have had fun playing around with my new toys.  I love this new heart punch from SU.  They came out with 3 new ones!  I haven't placed my order yet, but I CAN"T WAIT!  You can go to the link above to check out the new catalog. 

So this first bowl of candy was a quick project.  I cased Shelly's star from Christmas.  I grabbed a heart bowl from Michael's dollar spot, added a few rub-ons, filled it with some cherry kisses, wrapped it in cellophane, and added the tag and bow.  The stamp I used today was from the new Love You Much.  The ribbon is the Pink Pirouette, and I coordinated it with Riding Hood Red (matches the bowl well), Very Vanilla, and Close to Cocoa. 

I also wrapped a few candy bars.  I played around a while.  I used Candy Lane DSP to wrap them.  My favorite has got to be the understated one with the 3 hearts.  What do ya think?

What a Lovely Day!

Good Morning!
Wow!  I can't believe January is half over!  I haven't made my son's birthday invitations yet, or gotten my Christmas Thank You's out yet.  Looks like I'm going to have a busy weekend!  So with that being said, I may have gotten a bit side tracked last night.  Oh, but I couldn't help it!  I got my new SU rubber and all these darling projects sitting there waiting for me!  So I gave in...

 Here's a sneak peek of what I'm working on for Valentine's Day.  I have a few more projects sitting there I haven't gotten to yet as well.  This cute candy dish I found at Michaels for $1.  I wanted to copy Shelly's idea with the rub-ons, (the star dish) and then I realized I accidentally packed my rub-ons!  The only ones I could find were Seasonal Sayings from the Holiday Happenings Bundle.  I was a bit limited, but it turned out alright.  I'll show that off more tomorrow. 

These cute little cards are designed by my upline, Shelly.  We made them last month and I never got around to showing you!

Seven Minute Saturday!

I love giving the kiddos pencils instead of candy when I can.  It seems they always have something to write down!  So I came up with another pencil pouch.  I love how quick and easy these are.  They are still a work in progress, so I'll show you the lot of them once I finish.  Of course they double as pixie stix holders, but I stuffed 3 in there in place of the 2 pencils.

To make this pouch you will need:
2 1/8" x 11" strip of cardstock (4 from 1 sheet of CS)
7 1/5" -10" ribbon (bow or no bow)
hole punch (I used my Crop-O-Dile)
Score Blade

Cut strips at 2 1/8".  Score at 3" and 3 1/4".  Fold over and punch holes for ribbon about 1/2" from top of pouch and 1/4" in, on both sides.   Do any stamping you might want to do.  Run ribbon and tie it.  Embellish front.  Insert pencils.  Give to someone special!

I used the new Love You Much set.  You can get it now with the bundle, or buy it separately next week!  The LOVE mat is about 2" x 2 1/4".  It fits this project just perfectly!  I typically double mat, but there really isn't room so I sponged ink around the edges for a quick finish.

I can't wait to show you more!  I will (HOPEFULLY) be making some updates to my blog this weekend.  It has been really neglected lately!  I hope you'll like the new look, it'll take me a couple weeks to switch over.
